Interview about nude modelling

Q: Viewers have tendency to think about models, and especially nude models, as some dolls with no brain. What would you like to say about yourself, your background, education, personal life, work, likes, dislikes and hobbies?

I wish I could just say I am a doll with no brain - would be easier this way. Well I do have a brain. I m also a student. I guess modeling is partially my hobby after all. It does not seem like a job it is more fun most of the time

Q: Nudes are considerable part of your work. When and how did you start nude modeling? My first photo shoot was nude - I volunteered for an artistic project friend of mine was doing. - It was kind of out there - naked girl in an old fridge on the top of the building … well it was fun/

Q: Do you remember your first nude shoot and how did you feel? I felt good it was a bit awkward I did not know how to pose yet but I had no problem with being nude.

Q: Models do nudes for many different reasons, both material and intellectual. What do you personally get from nude modeling? MONEY ;) mostly - on top of that I have fun posing for pictures. Being nude makes me feel free and liberated to a certain degree especially because it seems to be such a big deal for some people. Also being nude is easier you don t have to worry about wardrobe. It is easier to pose without clothes + I look better without the clothes on - I guess proportions of my body look better.
And yes I value the artistic part of things as well. I also enjoy creating sexy teasing images.

Q: There are many genres (or categories) and styles of nude photography. Some of them are artistic, others are considered commercial, some are somewhere in between. Also style of individual photographers wary and some work does not fit anywhere. What genre of nude photography do you prefer to model for (fine art, glamour, erotic, fetish etc.) and why?

I like all of the genres. i started out as a fine art/artistic nude model. It was great I did not have to do much just stand there and everybody was happy soon enough I got a bit bored and I wanted to be more involved so I moved into glamor area where I could look into the camera and express some feelings. I enjoy that a lot but after doing so much of it I got bored as well and I wanted to explore more erotic side of things - I had to put much more feeling into my expressions it was close to acting - and I mean soft core erotic like playboy style images. I did few fetish things here and there and they are fun - I can do leg fetish because I have good legs. I also did some wrestling and surprisingly that was a lot of fun and I discovered a part of me I never thought existed. I guess I just like trying new things. Change and variety is good.

Q: Where are your limits and what are the most important things you take into consideration when deciding about accepting the work?

Good question my limits are changing so it is hard to say where they are. I m not interested in doing porn images with male models/performers that’s for sure. One of the most important considerations I take when accepting work is rates and safety. I am open to work with any photographer who can behave in professional manner.

Q: Many aspiring model think nude modeling is an easy way of making some money. Do you think is money as the only reason good enough to start nude modeling and is it really easy source of money?

Yes I think so. But saying that it is a hard work at times. Some shoots are very long and tiring. Recently I shot work out video - it was a real work out in the studio under video hot lights … and we shot for about 10 hours …. so it is easy and it isn’t. I would advice girls to make sure they are fit because it is physical work you have to be somewhat flexible. Also I think you have to make sure you are not ashamed of what you are doing and your body.

Q: Physical appearance is as important for nude models as is for fashion/catwalk model; although standards are much different. But great body and beautiful face is not enough to be successful. What qualities in your opinion make good and successful nude model?

Open minded, creative, fun, charisma - but really I think good body and face is enough to be successful in nude modeling if a girl wants to make it successful + as long as you photograph well you can learn all the rest.

Q: Do you see any similarities between fashion and nude modeling? And what are the main differences?

Well … clothes are the difference. I do not have a lot of experience in fashion modeling. It seems like models are treated less as people and more like coat hangers in fashion.

I think nude modeling is much more easy going, relaxed, personal experience then fashion modeling. It is also controversial on the other side.

Q: What type of photographers you prefer to work with – systematic with clear vision and strict guidance or those who let you to improvise and bring up you own ideas? I like both of those styles but most photographers are the mix in between and I enjoy when they are somewhere in between it can get really annoying when the photographer “pushes” you to improvise to hard and it can get really annoying when he is to set on getting this imaginary picture and is missing all the great shots that he could have get.

Q: Who is your favorite photographer in general and who is the best you already have worked with?

LOL if I start saying names I will get in trouble. Honestly I like photographers they are usually very nice people and good guys. They have one thing in common - creativity. I am also not the one who will judge who is the best. There is so many categories that a photographer can be judge on that I cannot even make a decision like that. I worked with few “big names” and I worked with a lot of people who are just starting. What is important for me is that I feel comfortable on the shoot and possibly have fun. After all you spend 2-6 hours with that person it does not help if they are jerks.

Q: No model likes all her photographs even if they are in fact very good. What photograph of yourself (nude of course) do you like most and why?

Well I like all of them. Not all the same way of course. There is so many photographs of myself that I like that I m not even sure where to start. It usually changes after every shoot then I get my other favorites. I really cannot choose one photograph that I like the most.

Q: What are your goals in nude modeling and who would you like to work with?

I do not really set any goals for it. I take it as I go. I try to have fun and pay my bills at the same time. Before I wanted to be published in Playboy but at the moment I could care less about playboy.

Q: What would you recommend to aspiring nude models? I got a lot of confidence and started loving my own body since I do modeling. I would recommend it as a therapy to any girl - just make sure you work with better photographers who will make you look your best.
